SINTERING MECHANISM, STRUCTURE AND CRYSTALLISATION OF CaO-MgO-Al₂O₃-SiO₂GLASS-CERAMICS FROM BLAST FURNACE SLAG

Abstract: CaO-MgO-Al 2 O 3 -SiO 2 glass-ceramics with different amounts of ZnO from blast furnace slag were prepared using the sintering method. The structure and properties of the glasses or glass-ceramics were investigated by Raman, DSC, HSM, XRD, and FE-SEM. The T g and T c of the glass decreased with an increase in the ZnO amount.
