Slow-roll inflation preceded by a topological defect phaseà laChaplygin gas

Abstract: We present a simple toy model corresponding to a network of frustrated topological defects of domain walls or cosmic strings that exist previous to the standard slow-roll inflationary era of the universe. Such a network (i) can produce a slower inflationary era than that of the standard scenario if it corresponds to a network of frustrated domain walls or (ii) can induce a vanishing universal acceleration; i.e., the universe would expand at a constant speed, if it corresponds to a network of frustrated cosmic … Show more

“…The strategy employed to solve the Mukhanov-Sasaki equation (2.45) for all the relevant modes follows the method used in Refs. [53,[70][71][72][73][74][75] where the second-order linear differential equation for v k is replaced by a set of first-order linear differential equations for the variables X k = v k and Y k = (i/k)X :…”

“…Generalized Chaplygin gas was subject of inflationary scenarios (Bouhmadi-Lopez et al 2013;Herrera et al 2013;del Campo 2013). Recently, the generalized Chaplygin gas inflation (Dinda et al 2014) in the light of Planck (Ade et al 2013) and BICEP2 (Ade et al 2014) has been studied.…”

“…This might provide us with an opportunity to comprehend the origin of inflation thoroughly. There are also other designs to explain the power deficit, such as [45][46][47][48], but these do not involve the initial singularity problem. The primordial GWs straightly encodes the evolution property of spacetime, thus it is interesting to have a detailed study of it.…”
