Social policy formulation and the role of professionals: the involvement of social workers in parliamentary committees in Israel

Abstract: The aim of this study is to contribute to a better understanding of the role of social care professionals in the social policy formulation process by studying social workers' involvement in parliamentary committees in Israel. The study methodology is a quantitative content analysis of the minutes of parliamentary committees that met between the years 1999 and 2006.
