Social support as perceived, provided and needed by family-members of migrants with type 2 diabetes – a qualitative study

Abstract: Background Social support provided by a family member has been found to have a buffering effect on distress and is associated with better diabetes self-care. This study explores the meaning of social support, as described by close family members of foreign-born people living with type 2 diabetes (PWDM) in Sweden.
