Socioeconomic Development and Deforestation in the Cerrado Biome, Brazil: Spatial Interactions and Heterogeneity

Abstract: This paper investigates the relationship between socioeconomic development and deforestation in the Cerrado biome, mainly focusing on the current Brazilian agricultural frontier of Matopiba.
