Solar char gasification

Abstract: The potential application of high temperature solar heat for the production of synthesis gas from char has been investigated. Indirect transfer of solar heat, simulated by an electric furnace, to a bench scale fluidized bed reactor has been examined, the fluidizing gas being the heat carrying medium.
