Abstract:Oligo(3-hexylthiophene-co-1,4-phenylene)
and poly(3-hexylthiophene)
were solubilized in sodium deoxycholate self-assemblies in water solutions
and hydrogels, with the goal of solubilizing sufficient material in
a hydrogel for fluorescence applications. The neutral conjugated oligomer
and polymer were incorporated as monomers into the self-assemblies
with sodium deoxycholate aggregates, leading to the photoprotection
of these neutral conjugated and water-insoluble molecules. Dynamic

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
