Abstract:Introduction: Hypothermic machine perfusion (HMP) has greatly facilitated kidney allograft preservation. However, tissue damage still occurs during HMP, deleteriously affecting post-transplant graft function. Therefore, improved methods to assess organ quality and to predict post-transplant graft function and survival are needed.
