Abstract:In this study, a novel diamine monomer (BTPA) containing a benzocyclobutene (BCB) cross-linking site was synthesized, and two polyimides (PIs), PI-BCB-1 and PI-BCB-2, were synthesized using BTPA with dianhydrides, 4,4′-(hexafluoroisopropyl) diphenyl anhydride (6FDA) and 4,4′-(4,4isopropylidenediphenoxy)bis(phthalic anhydride) (BPADA), respectively. The BCB-based PIs were soluble in common organic solvents and exhibited a desirable toughness. The cross-linking behavior of the BCB-based PIs was investigated usin… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
