Abstract:Prasannapadā Chapter One is well-known for its author Candrakīrti s justifications for Buddhapālita s prasaṅga argumentative method and his severe criticisms toward Bhāviveka s svatantrānumāna. This chapter of PsP has been repeatedly examined since its publication by Louis de La Vallée Poussin over 1903-1913 (PsP L ).
