Some clinical and pathogenetic aspects of irritable bowel syndrome in patients who have undergone COVID-19

Abstract: One of the manifestations of COVID-19 are complaints from the gastrointestinal tract, the frequency of which ranges from 3% to 80% of patients. The article presents up-to-date data on the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome and features of the clinical picture of this disorder in patients who have undergone COVID-19. The influence of SARS-Cov-2 on the main pathogenetic links of irritable bowel syndrome is indicated.
