Sonochemistry: Applications in Biotechnology

Abstract: Sonochemistry is a branch dealing with effects of chemical as well as sound wave as the name suggest. The sound waves are ultrasonic, i.e., high frequency waves (20 kHz can extent to 10 MHz and above) beyond the range of a human ear (20-20 kHz). Sonochemistry technology is incorporated into both mechanistic and synthetic studies. An important event called acoustic cavitation take place where microbubbles grow and under the influence of ultrasonic waves they collapse. Sonoluminescence is one of the outcomes of … Show more

“…Ultrasound is a term used to describe sound waves that have a frequency higher than 20 kHz, a level that exceeds the range of human hearing [ 20 ]. There are multiple methods to produce ultrasound, including piezoelectric transducers, magnetostrictive transducers, and electrostatic transducers [ 20 ]. Ultrasound waves are generated using a device called an ultrasound transducer, which converts electrical energy into sound waves.…”

“…A proposed chatbot system utilizes encryption and Apache Mahout for security and scalability, with a focus on automatic response generation based on user queries, potentially incorporating online data sources for broader knowledge. [3] The development and use of chatbots, particularly in the context of educational institutions. It highlights the role of artificial intelligence and how chatbots can mimic human conversation.…”

“…The first report on sonochemistry published in 1927 was to check the effect of high-intensity sound waves on physical, chemical, and biological systems. [74] The field was explored extensively after the 1950s, synthetically as well as mechanistically. [75] Sonochemistry being one of the sustainable and green protocols applies to synthetic chemistry in ways, similar to that of microwave-assisted organic synthesis.…”
