Abstract:Current treatment of Chlamydia trachomatis using doxycycline and azithromycin introduces detrimental side effects on the host’s microbiota. As a potential alternative treatment, the myxobacterial natural product sorangicin A (SorA) blocks the bacterial RNA polymerase.
