Sorghum Phenolics Demonstrate Estrogenic Action and Induce Apoptosis in Nonmalignant Colonocytes

Abstract: Evidence indicates sorghum may be protective against colon cancer; however, the mechanisms are unknown. Estrogen is believed to protect against colon cancer development by inducing apoptosis in damaged nonmalignant colonocytes.
