The Danube Delta is recognition as natural international capital in Romania. In 1991 it was designated as Ramsar site and World Natural Heritage Site for a surface of 50% of its area. Also, in 1992 it is recognized as a Biosphere Reserve. The Danube Delta is a large protected area at international level, but at national level certain areas of the Danube Delta are only natural reserves. The Danube Delta is recognized as a Natural Biosphere Reserve by Government Decision 248/1994. In 1994, a GEF (Global Environment Facility) project was set and Park Administration implements the management plan. The Danube Delta has so far been the only protected area with its own administration. At national level, will be provided support for the establishment and strengthening of the necessary institutional framework, for the adoption of the laws on protected areas and strengthening legislative framework. Also, for preparation human resource which is a public participation component of popularization the idea of nature conservation and protected areas. The purpose of this article consisted of choosing Danube Delta area where the possible floods occur due to different weather phenomenon. To do this using ArcMap 10.5 programs were conducted a simulation map of flooding in the area under study.

Abstract. The law number 4 : 2011 and Presidential Decree number 9 : 2016 policy in Indonesia regulates the management of standardization and unification of geospatial data called One Map Policy to achieved one geospatial information which is needed across the institution and ministries. Ministry of Energy and Minerals Resources (MEMR) of Republic Indonesia have managed diverse data which are dynamic and periodically changing, completed with their spatial aspect. To manage those datasets to follow the one map policy, Center of Data and Information Technology unit with task is managing data and information technology developed a Web-GIS platform called ESDM One Map Indonesia that can be used for displaying, analyzing, and monitoring energy and mineral resources. ESDM One Map Indonesia is expected to support various stakeholders in their decision and policy making process, especially in the case of territorial issues. The data in this system is stored in PostgreSQL that exist in an enterprise geodatabase which then published as map services in WMS, WFS, or KML format using Enterprise GIS. Overall, this Web-GIS application could help in monitoring the data development and performing spatial analysis which are can be used for supporting the decision maker. ESDM One Map Indonesia is strong efforts -from MEMR of Republic Indonesia in the form of Web-GIS application for supporting the Indonesian One Map Policy which requires-support and data collaboration from another Ministry/Organization. The willingness from MEMR still needs a support especially keep up with the advancement of Web-GIS based application so that the service provided by ESDM One Map Indonesia can be continuously maintained.

The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is an archipelagic Small Island Developing State (SIDS), situated on the southern end of the chain of Caribbean islands. Several factors such as climate, topography, and hydrological characteristics increase its susceptibility and vulnerability to flooding which results in adverse socio-economic impacts. Many Caribbean islands, including Trinidad and Tobago lack a flood risk assessment tool which is essential for a proactive mitigation approach to floods, specifically in the Caribbean due to the incommensurate flooding events that occur because of the inherent characteristics of SIDS. This research focuses on the problem of flooding using susceptibility analysis, vulnerability analysis and risk assessment for the island of Trinidad, whilst also presenting a repeatable and appropriate methodology to assess these risks in regions that have similar characteristics to Trinidad. This is especially useful in Caribbean countries because of a lack of internal human capacity to support such efforts. Flood hazard indexes (FHI) and vulnerability indexes (VI) were generated for this study using subjective and objective weighting technique models to identify regions that are affected by flooding. These models were Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Frequency Ratio (FR) and Shannon’s Entropy (SE). Comparative analyses of the three models were conducted to assess the efficacy and accuracy of each to determine which is most suitable. These were used to conduct a risk assessment to identify risks associated with each Regional Corporation of Trinidad. Results indicate that FR is the most accurate weighting technique model to assess flood susceptibility and risk assessment in Trinidad, with an Area Under the Curve (AUC) of 0.76 and 0.64 respectively. This study provides an understanding of the most appropriate weighting techniques that can be used in regions where there are challenges in accessing comprehensive data sets and limitations as it relates to access to advanced technology and technical expertise. The results also provide reasonably accurate outcomes that can assist in identifying priority areas where further quantitative assessments may be required and where mitigation and management efforts should be focused. This is critical for SIDS where vulnerability to flooding is high while access to financial and human resources is limited.
