Spatial and temporal evolution of ecological vulnerability based on vulnerability scoring diagram model in Shennongjia, China

Abstract: Shennongjia is one of the most important ecological function areas and ecologically vulnerable zones in the world. With the rapid development of social economies, especially tourism, the ecological environment of Shennongjia has experienced profound changes. Exploring the characteristics and changing trends of ecological environment in Shennongjia will help to analyze the causes of the damage to the ecological environment, and build a vulnerability analysis framework with multi-scale, multi-element, multi-flow… Show more

“…The ecological security of border areas and the inter-relationship between border development and ecological security have received extensive attention from the academic community, and the research results are rich and mature, involving the internal structural nature of the border area ecosystems themselves [6][7][8], vulnerability [9][10][11], and restoration [9,[12][13][14], and the interference [15][16][17], support [18], and services [19,20] generated by the interaction between ecosystems and human society. The evaluation method is mainly based on 3S technology, the PSR (Pressure-State-Response) model, and index system construction [2,21] as well as gray correlation analysis [22,23], the DPSIR model [24,25], ecological footprint analysis [26], and CA prediction models [27].…”

“…The vulnerability of non-coal underground mines refers to the ability of the safety protection system of underground mines to maintain its main safety features and functions without being significantly affected when facing the impact of external accidents. Define the vulnerability of non-coal underground mine systems as 25 . where V is the vulnerability of the non-coal underground mine system, , are the weights of equipment and facilities, places, materials, processes, operations in the probability of accidents, derived from the AHP method and respectively for equipment and facilities, places, materials, processes, operations of the degree of hazard.…”

“…Numerous scholars have used a variety of assessment approaches to perform numerous investigations into various regions. For instance, Cao et al (2022) constructed the ecological vulnerability index of Shenlongjia thoroughly and quantitatively using the vulnerability scoring diagram (VSD) model during a 22-year period. Hou et al (2020) combined GIS data with a fuzzy analytic hierarchy method to study hierarchical variations of regional ecological vulnerability.…”
