Spatial deconvolution of 3-D diffuse optical tomographic image time series: Influence of background medium heterogeneity

Abstract

The ability of a spatial deconvolution algorithm to enhance reconstructed optical tomographic image quality was previously demonstrated. Here, additional computational studies show that introduction of complex medium geometry actually can improve the method's performance.
