Spatial Density of Dolines in the Croatian Territory

Abstract: Cilj je ovog rada utvrditi prostornu gustoću ponikava na području krša Hrvatske i provesti korelaciju izračunatih vrijednosti gustoće ponikava s pojedinim geomorfološkim i geološkim čimbenicima njihova nastanka i razvoja. Show more

“…4). The data sets were examined in 1 km × 1 km quadrants to determine spatial densities of depression, relict and non-relict valleys, and the relationships between them (Pahernik, 2012;Bočić et al, 2015). Besides, minimum, 5 %, 25 %, average, 75 %, 95 % and maximum values are calculated for evaluation of morphometric elevation characteristics of depressions (Öztürk et al, 2018b).…”

“…The data sets were examined in 1 × 1 km (1 km 2 ) quadrats to calculate the spatial density of the dolines (dolines/km 2 ), relict valleys (km/km 2 ), and the relationship between them (Pahernik, 2012;Bočić et al, 2015). Size 25 km 2 (5 × 5 km) quadrats were used to create rose diagrams and to determine the superficial distribution of doline orientations.…”
