Abstract:Myofibers are large multinucleated cells that have long thought to have a rather simple organization. Single-nucleus transcriptomics, spatial transcriptomics and spatial metabolomics analysis have revealed distinct transcription profiles in myonuclei related to myofiber type. However, the use of local tissue collection or dissociation methods have obscured the spatial organization. To elucidate the full tissue architecture, we combine two spatial omics, RNA tomography and mass spectrometry imaging. This enable… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
