Abstract

Enterprise Systems (ES), also called as Enterprise Information Systems (EIS), has become increasingly popular over the last two decades because it integrates and extends business processes across the boundaries of business functions and corporate walls. With global supply chain and fierce competition in place, there is a need for suitable ES to integrate enterprises in a supply chain environment with the objective for achieving efficiency, competency and competitiveness. There is no doubt that ES is having an important long-term strategic impact on global business.Due to the importance of this subject, there is a growing demand for research on ES to provide insights on issues, challenges and solutions related to the design, implementation and management of ES.
