Specifying Constraints for Detecting Inconsistencies in A Conceptual Graph Knowledge Base

Abstract

This paper proposes a strategy for representing constraints in a conceptual graph knowledgebase.Wedescribeasetoftechniquesforusingtheseconstraintstodetect inconsistenciesinaknowledgebasebyfindingsetsofnodesthatareinconsistentwith theseconstraints.Thedetectionmethodisdesignedtobeefficient.Analgorithmwas developedandanalyzedanditscomputationalcomplexitywasfoundtobepolynomial withrespecttoknowledgebasesizeandnumberofchildnodesforeachconstraintnode.
