A substantial fraction of the SfG galaxies in the sample, 314, and the rather wide range of red shifts, 0 < z < 0.07, ensure that the sample is representative, both from the standpoint of a multiplicity of morphological types and from the standpoint of the phases of star formation activity in which they exist.…”
