Abstract:The neurotransmitter is a chemical substance that transmits information between neurons. Its metabolic process includes four links: synthesis, storage, release and inactivation. As one of the important chemical components of neurotransmitters, acetylcholine is synthesized under the catalysis of acetylcholine coenzyme A and choline acetylase. Inspired by the biological fact that enzymes exist in neurons and that enzymes are involved in neurotransmitter synthesis, we propose spiking neural P systems with enzymes… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
