Abstract:A novel concept is proposed to calculate both the electrical resistivity and thermoelectric power (TEP) of liquid transition metals (Mn, Fe, Co and Ni) characterized by a paramagnetic state in the liquid phase. By contrast to a previous work (PRB64, 094202 (2001)), where the resistivity was calculated by treating separately the interactions between spin up and spin down using the Matthiessen rule, our current approach is based on two types of muffin tin potentials in the t-matrix, namely spin up and spin down.… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
