Spiral phyllotaxis underlies constrained variation in Anemone (Ranunculaceae) tepal arrangement

Abstract: Stabilization and variation of floral structures are indispensable for plant reproduction and evolution; however, the developmental mechanism regulating their structural robustness is largely unknown.
