Spiral Structured Photonic Crystal Fiber-Based Plasmonic Sensor with Bimetallic Coating

Abstract: We present a bimetallic coated, low-loss spiral lattice PCF sensor combined with SPR technology that achieves a high sensitivity. The sensing performance and properties of our recommended sensor are realized numerically by the Finite Element Method. Gold is utilized as the plasmonic layer and titanium Oxide (TiO2), which is sandwiched between the silica glass fiber and the gold coating, forming the bimetallic surface.
