Spiritual Geographies

Abstract

Spiritual geographies address the sites and spatial practices associated with the nonmaterial, non‐ or more‐than‐representational, and posthuman arena that shapes the beliefs, practices, and identities of many of the world's population. A growing body of geographical work demonstrates the insight to be gained from studying the everyday, embedded, embodied, and occasionally extraordinary experiences stemming from a range of spiritual beliefs and practices, which may or may not be associated with institutionalized religion.
