Splenomegaly in the returning traveller: a diagnostic workup

Abstract: Isolated splenomegaly is an unusual condition encompassing a broad range of diagnoses. We report a case of a 38-year-old Asian man who presented with insidious abdominal discomfort and night sweats following recent travel to India. Massive splenomegaly was the only prominent feature on clinical examination and on subsequent imaging.
