Abstract:Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) developing in a Zenker's diverticulum (ZD) is an uncommon condition. The preferred treatment for SCC in the pharyngeal pouch is complete diverticulum resection. Only histopathological evaluation of the pouch can rule out SCC.
