Abstract:A vast area of cultivable lands in saline affected coastal region of South-Western Bangladesh remains fallow during Rabi (winter) season due to non-availability of saline tolerant crop species or varieties. Linseed (Linum usitatissimum) is known as a medium salt tolerant crop with diverse uses. The crop may be a good choice to utilize these saline prone lands.
