Stability Analysis of Roadway Groups under Multi-Mining Disturbances

Abstract: The roadway stability has been regarded as the main challenging issue for safety and productivity of deep underground coal mines, particularly where roadways are affected by coal mining activities. This study investigates the −740 m main roadway in the Jining No. 2 Coal Mine to provide a theoretical basis for the stability control of the main deep roadway affected by disturbances of adjacent working activities. Field surveys, theoretical analyses, and numerical simulations are used to reveal mechanisms of the … Show more

“…The use of yielding elements in shotcrete linings for tunnel squeezing deformation control at first glance appears as simple work, however in practice it is rather challenging because of the time-dependent hardening of shotcrete, non-linear mechanical response of yielding elements, and the time and tunnel face-advancement dependent development of rock deformations. A more serious failure would take place remarkably if they are employed incorrectly [ 66 , 67 ]. However, up to now, there still has not been a systematic and comprehensive summary on previous research, which is fundamental for future research leading to a deeper understanding and better application of ductile linings.…”

“…Roadways experience large deformations, such as layered soft rock roadways [15], cross roadways [16], close coal seam roadways [17], and steeply inclined rock layer roadway [18][19][20] due to complicated geological structures. Mining disturbance also contributes to a dramatic deformation of the roadway [21,22]. Water-based erosion in a water-rich roadway reduces its strength and serviceability [23,24].…”

“…Some researchers have analyzed the influencing factors of floor failure in paste-filling face from the perspective of filling strength and filling rate [27,28]. Many researchers analyzed the relationship between floor failure depth and mining height [29][30][31]. Previous studies have established the evaluation formula of paste-filling floor and the relationship between safety factor and filling parameters [32,33].…”
