Stability Analysis of the Matrix-vector Product (via FFT) for a Toeplitz-like Matrix

Abstract

In this paper the numerical stability of the matrix-vector product, performed via FFT, is analyzed for the case of the Toeplitz-like matrices. The error appears to depend on the magnitude of the generators of the matrix. The numerical experimentation confirms the theoretical result.
