Abstract:Commercialized passivated emitter rear cell (PERC) silicon solar cells feature direct contact of metal with silicon, which leads to severe recombination loss and low opencircuit voltage (V oc ). To overcome the loss, the authors demonstrated a highly stable and thickness-tolerant dopant-free electron-selective contact consisting of a strontium fluoride/ aluminum (SrF 2 /Al) stack. The insertion of a dielectric SrF 2 layer can mitigate the Fermi-level pinning effect that typically occurs between the silicon sub… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
