“…Fifteen biomarkers (10 of them are potential biomarkers found in nontargeted metabolomics) were quantitatively analyzed using multiple reaction monitoring. Multiple reaction monitoring detection was a sensitive, accurate, rapid, and specific quantification of multianalytes in a short chromatographic separation [19,20].…”

“…It was applied for the simultaneous and dynamic measurement of multiple neurosteroids in normal and Parkinson's disease rat blood microdialysates. Using the same SILD reagents, we developed an accurate, sensitive, and rapid method for the determination of hydroxyl-containing cholesterol and metabolites in rat blood microdialysates by microwave-assisted SILD magnetic dispersive SPE coupled with UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS in MRM mode [58]. This work can provide technical support in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease because hydroxyl-containing cholesterol and related metabolites are potential biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease.…”

“…Recently, based on the advantage of rhodamine derivatization reagent structure for MS and MS/MS performance in positive ion mode [38,[52][53][54][55][56][57][58], the authors used a conventional amine-reactive fluorescent probe Nhydroxysuccinimidyl rhodamine B ester [S25] as derivatization reagent to label a classical phosphatidylethanolamine (PE 16:0 18:1) to evaluate its analytical performance of UHPLC-MS/MS (MRM). The results indicated that the LOD of this derivatization method was lower about two to three orders of magnitude than the nonderivatization method.…”

“…As mentioned previously, 2 H 4 ‐DMBA was also used as a substrate for the synthesis of other ICD reagents including 2 H 4 ‐DAPPz and 2 H 4 ‐DAPAP, which target carboxylic acids (Ogawa et al, ; Ogawa, Tadokoro, et al, ). Recently, the 2 H 0 / 2 H 3 ‐3‐ N ‐methyl‐2′‐carboxyl rhodamine 6G ( 2 H 0 / 2 H 3 ‐MCR6G) pair was used for derivatization of hydroxyl‐containing cholesterol and metabolites as indicators for Alzheimer's disease (Wang, Sun, et al, ). In addition, this pair of reagents were also applied for the determination of eight hydroxyl‐containing neurosteroids in rat blood microdialysates as indicators for Parkinson's disease (Xu et al, ).…”

“…The derivatization reaction was carried out at 55 or 70°C under microwave irradiation. The samples were analyzed by UPLC–MS/MS showing good accuracy, linearity, and minimum matrix effects (Wang, Sun, et al, ; Xu et al, ). Lastly, the 18 O 0 / 18 O 2 ‐TSPC reagent pair could be used for chiral derivatization of hydroxyl and amine immunometabolite of 2‐hydroxyglutarate Zheng et al (), as mentioned previously in our discussion about ICD reagents targeting amines (see Table ).…”
