Abstract:Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are a rare vascular pathology of the central nervous system in pediatric patients; however, they are the most common cause of intracranial hemorrhage in this age group. Here, we describe a case of a 5-year-old female found to have a right double AVM with multiple enlarged feeding vessels. We performed a staged embolization, over three sessions, to achieve complete embolization of the AVM. Post-embolization angiography confirmed complete obliteration of shunting.
