Abstract:Star-shaped polymers have attracted attention due to their unique solution properties and viscosities. These effects are attributed to their hydrodynamic radii that differ significantly from those of linear polymers. The present study reports the synthesis of star-shaped helical polyacetylenes substituted with L-valine-and L-threoninebased optically active groups. The formation of star-shaped polymers was confirmed by size exclusion chromatography, solution viscosity, dynamic light scattering, and smallangle X… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
