Abstract:Leukemia, although most likely starts as a monoclonal genetic/epigenetic anomaly, is a polyclonal disease at manifestation. This polyclonal nature results from ongoing evolutionary changes in the genome/epigenome of leukemia cells to promote their survival and proliferation advantages.
