Statistical analysis of nanofibers alignment in magnetic‐field‐assisted electrospinning including an alignment percentage formula

Abstract: Magnetic‐field‐assisted electrospinning (MFAES) is a simple and effective method to align polymer nanofibers. In this method, further research is needed to identify alignment mechanism. Hence, this article includes statistical analysis of affecting factors to investigate alignment mechanism in MFAES. Tip to target distance, magnets distance, voltage, and collection time, which are recognized as the most effective factors on nanofibers alignment, were applied in design of experiments. Central composite method w… Show more

“…Magnetic field assisted method is a method that can improves the performance and controls of the phase morphology of the sample by applying an external magnetic field during preparation. [52] Ordinary electromagnetic process usually use electromagnetic stirring or an electromagnetic brake. However, the magnetic field assisted process inserts high-intensity magnetization energy into the sample, which then changes the thermodynamic state of the sample, resulting in the migration and rearrangement of atoms and molecules.…”

“…[1,3,[18][19][20][21] The morphological structure and dimensions of electrospun fibers are influenced by three types of parameters: material, processing and ambient ones. Polymer type and its molecular weight, polymer concentration, solvent and polymer solution properties (viscosity, conductivity and surface tension) are some of the important material properties.…”
