“…The obtained data revealed that the optimum conditions for amylase production by Rhizopus stolonifer were 30 • C, a pH value of 6, and an incubation time of 8 days, using yeast extract (3 g/L) and an inoculum size of 2 mL/25 mL. Vidyalakshmi et al [28] stated that incubation temperature is considered one of the significant parameters which considerably influences amylase production [29]. Interestingly, many studies on amylase production using different fungal isolates were performed with mesophiles that grow best at temperatures between 25 and 37 • C [30].…”

“…Several reports exist of successful RSM application, with methodologies like the Box-Behnken design, Plackett-Burhman factorial design, and central composite design (CCD), for process parameter optimization and attainment of enhanced enzyme production ([ [34] , [39] , [40] , [41] ]; Paul et al., 2021). RSM has been applied successfully for enhanced alpha-amylase production [ [4] , [42] , [43] , [44] , [45] , [46] ].…”

“…These enzymes catalyze the reactions at low temperatures, reduce the release of harmful components to the environment, and enhance the ability to removing the harsh stains and improve the cloth softness, whiteness, and color (Al-ghanayem, 2020). Numerous examples can be cited from the literature indicating the high potential of alkaline, detergent-compatible α-amylases as an environmentally friendly component in stain removal and brightness of fabric (Hmidet et al, 2019;Allala et al, 2020;Kherouf et al, 2021).…”
