Stem cell hierarchy in dorsal aorta

Abstract: During embryogenesis, the aorta-gonad-mesonephros (AGM) region serves as an important niche for various kinds of stem cells, including hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), primordial germ cells (PGCs), meso-angioblasts and angioblasts.
