Bidentate N,N'-ligand precursor, O,O'-dipropyl ester of (S,S)- ethylenediamine-N,N'-di-2-(4-methyl)-pentanoic acid dihydrochloride, [(S,S)- H4eddl]Cl2, was prepared and its crystal structure is given herein.
