Stimuli-responsive supramolecules for bone tissue engineering

Abstract: In the recent scenario Stimuli responsive supramolecules are used for bone tissue engineering. Stimuli responsive Supramolecules are responding towards the desired stimuli. This has a property to change their dynamics and undergo impulsive and continual assembly or disassembly processes under specific conditions. These supramolecules respond towards chemical and physical stimuli which include: pH, temperature, light, ionic strength, magnetic and electric field sensitive. Stimuli responsive supramolecules are u… Show more

“…Bone tissue is intensely vascularized, a particularity that influences growth, maturation, shaping, and regeneration [ 5 , 6 ]. Bone tissue can be of two types: cortical bone, which represents the external part of a bone, and cancellous bone, which is located inside the bone.…”

“…Bone tissue engineering (BTE) has gained great interest in the last decade, as the frequency of degenerative diseases or tissue-damaging has increased [ 1 ]. Hence, the applications of BTE focus on the restoration of the native bone’s functionality by augmenting its regeneration rate with the aid of cells, osteogenic factors, or biomaterials.…”

“…In this respect, several complementary therapies started to be used in clinical practice [12]. Adjuvant therapies like cryoablation, laser ablation, argon beam coagulation, photothermal therapy, immunotherapy, and more have been employed with different success rates [13].…”
