“…ZaMBF1c was observed to be more sensitive to these treatment and exhibited significant resistance, even after 3 days. In fact, MBF1c is a vital member that responds to the environmental changes in various species [ 19 , 22 , 49 ] and can interact with TPS gene family to defend against environmental stress [ 52 ]. Moreover, the function of MBF1 genes has been of great interest in many plants [ 18 , 19 , 22 , 53 , 54 ], but they appeared to have different roles in the responsiveness to cold stress [ 14 ].…”

“…Future studies should focus on generating transgenic Zanthoxylum lines to reveal the molecular functions of ZaMBF1 genes [ 22 ]. The proteins that interact with ZaMBF1 could be explored by yeast two hybridization, bimolecular fluorescence complementarity and co-immunoprecipitation assay technique [ 52 ]. Promoter identification could also be conducted to uncover the genetic information of ZaMBF1c related to floral meristem differentiation in Z .…”

“…In addition, salt, drought, trehalose, salicylic acid, methyl viologen, abscisic acid, and other stresses and hormone treatments can increase the expression of AtMBF1c [ 19 , 20 ]. MBF1c is induced by salicylic acid (SA), methyl jasmonate (MJ), abscisic acid, and Ralstonia solanacearum , and overexpression of MBF1c results in improved resistance to R. solanacearum in S. tuberosum [ 21 ]. However, whether MBF1c participates in waterlogging tolerance has not been reported.…”

“…R. solanacearum belongs to PO41 strain (seed type II, race 3 biotype 2) ( He et al, 1983 ), which was cultured in a CPG medium, and then the solution was diluted to 10 8 cfu/ml (Optical Density, OD600 = 0.2). Potatoes were inoculated by the root injury irrigation method when they grew to the stage of two-week-old potato plants with 7–8 leaves ( Yu et al, 2021b ). The control group was inoculated with the same amount of water.…”

“…After the potato seedlings were inoculated with R. solanacearum or water for 72 hpi, the leaves were collected for observing the infection of R. solanacearum . The leaves were left in trypan blue solution for 24 h ( Yu et al, 2021b ). Levels of H 2 O 2 were detected using the DAB staining method by the DAB Substrate Kit (Solarbio, Beijing, China).…”
