Abstract:Integrating a high Penetration level of Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) power in the electricity grid could enhance the system’s sustainability, reliability, and affordability. Nevertheless, at higher Penetrations, the intermittency, non-dispatchable nature of the SPV generation, and the extensive utilization of inverter-based interfaces generate excessive harmonic distortions that damage power system devices and interrupt the smooth operation of the power system. Thus, the severity of the harmonic distortion impacts… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
