Pluralism is one of the pillars of Indonesian diversity. However, often these pluralities become a gap in the weakness of the nation. Various conflicts have emerged precisely starting from an attitude of lack of appreciation for the diversity of perspectives, one of which is in religious life. On the other hand, the government has promoted the importance of religious moderation, especially in the educational environment. Using a qualitative paradigm and a discourse analysis approach, the Friday sermon held at the Slamet Riyadi University campus mosque in Surakarta contains at least two values of religious moderation, namely tolerance and anti-violence. These two values are conveyed with a pattern of giving warnings to always be vigilant in the face of trials, taking a personal approach by always drawing closer to God, inviting worshippers to always pray for protection, strengthening their arguments with the example of the Prophet, and closing the statement that if following the Prophet will get a good end.

Introduction. Stunting is the main threat to the realization of quality Indonesian human resources and must be handled jointly by all parties. Several factors cause stunting, including the deficiency of knowledge among mothers about health and nutrition. Religious leaders are believed to have great authority in society and are an alternative to increasing mothers’ knowledge and attitudes. Objective. This literature review aims to discuss the relationship of religious leaders in increasing maternal knowledge to reduce stunting. Methods. This research method is the result of a literature review. This study was obtained from 3 databases, namely Scopus, Google Scholar, and articles from the mass media using exclusion and inclusion criteria. Results. From articles that reviewed religious leaders and maternal knowledge for stunting reduction, it was found that policies aimed at quickening stunting deterrence were passable at the central, regional, and district levels, but rules on spiritual methods were still inadequate. Religious leaders do not get passable evidence related to stunting, so they cannot do their best back to the public. Conclusion. Religious and stunting issues are very relevant when conveyed by religious leaders. Religious leaders can act as social agents in preventing stunting through their religious activities. Religious leaders have the role of the main actor in disseminating information. Strategies to accelerate stunting prevention through a religious method by using suitable methods and communication networks such as premarital counseling, religious knowledge councils, and sermons.

Objective: Stunting remains a critical issue in Indonesia, with significant implications for the health and development of children under five. Poor parenting practices, including inadequate feeding, exclusive breastfeeding, and unhealthy living conditions, contribute to high stunting rates. This research aims to develop an innovative strategy for parenting improvement involving all stakeholders to reduce stunting rates, thereby supporting the achievement of SDG 3 for good health and well-being. Theoretical Framework: Stunting is a condition where a child's height is below the development standard by more than two standard deviations, leading to long-term consequences such as reduced cognitive skills, frequent illnesses, and higher risk of diseases. Factors affecting nutritional status include food intake, infectious diseases, food availability, parenting practices, environmental sanitation, and access to healthcare. Effective parenting counseling is essential to enhance parenting practices and prevent stunting. Avoiding punishment and ostracism is crucial in child-rearing. Method: The study employed a qualitative approach using case studies, with data collected through in-depth interviews with key members of the stunting task force across three provinces. Results and Discussion: The findings indicate that parents lack awareness and responsibility regarding government standards for childcare, exclusive breastfeeding, and healthcare utilization. The study proposes a strategic model for stunting reduction through improved parenting practices, involving Penta Helix elements such as the community, universities, media, businesses, and government. This model aims to create a synergistic system involving all stakeholders. Research Implications: The proposed model is expected to enhance multi-sectoral collaboration and effectively reduce stunting rates. Originality/Value: The study contributes an integrated approach to stunting reduction, emphasizing the role of parenting improvement in achieving SDG 3.
