The broiler is one of the diversity of chicken species that has an upward trend in the public’s amount of consumption every year. Market uncertainty caused by government policies affects the level of production and the price of the broiler. This is detrimental to the poultry farmers and the partnership industry because the selling price becomes lower than the production cost. The subjects were a random sample of poultry farmers and industry partnerships in a developing country with a high level of broiler consumption. A study was conducted on internal and external factors regarding strategic decisions. The strategy method stages include finding alternatives and framing strategies using the strength, weakness, opportunity, and threats (SWOT) matrix and quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM), respectively. The SWOT matrix analyzes the strategies that can be conducted in this case study: market penetration and product development. QSPM explained that the best strategic decisions were an intensive approach to quality animal feed producers, quality management training for poultry farmers and internal company parties, and business diversification for broiler processed products. Apart from preserving biodiversity, hopefully, this study will contribute to food security and improve the local communities’ economy.

The problem of the paper focused on the role of the integration of strategic planning for tourism development and air transport connectivity is integral to advancing Indonesia’s tourist destinations with world-class marine park attractions spread across several eastern provinces that have not been visited by tourists optimally. They were relying on opening flight paths connected to the main entrances to Jakarta and Bali airports. This research aims to uncover and analyze the strategic planning of tourism development in Sulawesi Utara Province. A mixed method was used in research that adopted the model of Golkar (2005) with 96 questionnaires to officials of the tourism office, airport authorities, and airlines. An analysis using a four-dimensional SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis (Mercer, 1991). The findings show that the accessibility of air transportation for tourist visits is limited and is not integrated with the flight paths of tourists. Tourism development planning in Sulawesi Utara Province tends to be partial and not consider critical variables. Such as the development of air transport infrastructure to open access to tourist destinations that are difficult to reach by land and sea transportation. Contribution to the theory and managerial implications are discussed, and suggestions for further research are given.
Abstract:The awareness of the need to preserve the environment and establish sustainable development evolved as the result of the development of the world economy and society. Transport plays a very important role in this process. It is recognized as one of the main factors in sustainable development strategy. Strategic transport management model is presented in this paper. It represents a comprehensive and complete strategic management process, beginning from the strategic analysis, then strategy formulation and its implementation to strategic control. What makes this model specific is the development of its phases using contemporary strategic management methods and MCDM (Multicriteria Decision Making) techniques. In this way, subjectivity is avoided and the decision-making process is impartial. To formulate sustainable transport strategy, the authors use a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) and the fuzzy Delphi method as the basis to evaluate impact factors. Fuzzy SWOT analysis is applied to formulate strategic options and the selection of optimal option is realized through DEMATEL (Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory)-based ANP (Analytic Network Process). The strategic transport management model is applied to Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) as a company engaged in the production and transport of oil and oil derivatives. The results presented in this paper have shown that this model can be successfully implemented in profit organizations. It also can be used to formulate strategies on the basis of scientific principles and create conditions for successful sustainable strategies implementation.
