Abstract:In the continuum mechanics there is a class of problems that cannot be solved directly or the solutions of these problems are affected by large errors when the classical equations of thermoviscoelasticity are considered. The paper discusses a special case of such problems-the cyclic bending of a composite plate with a circular hole subjected to the stationary self-heating, which was solved within the framework of a moment theory of thermoviscoelasticity.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
