String cosmology in Bianchi I space-time

Abstract: Some cosmological solutions of massive strings are obtained in Bianchi I space-time following the techniques used by Letelier and Stachel. A class of solutions corresponds to string cosmology associated with/without a magnetic field and the other class consists of pure massive strings, obeying the Takabayashi equation of state ρ = (1 + ω)λ .

“…In literature, string cosmological models for different Bianchi Types (homogeneous and anisotropic) space-times have been widely studied in different physical and geometrical contexts by many authors viz. “…Melvin (1975) has pointed out that during the evolution of the universe, the matter is highly ionized state and is smoothly coupled with the field, subsequently forming neutral matter as a result of universe expansion. Therefore considering the presence of magnetic field in strings universe is not unrealistic and has been investigated by many authors [Banerjee et al (1990) There is a lot of interest in alternative theories of gravitation, due to some lacunas in general relativity. In view of the importance of Maxwell's electromagnetic field interaction with cosmic string, we have discussed cylindrically symmetric cosmic string magnetized cosmological model in Rosen's bimetric theory of gravitation.…”

“…Further Melvin [13] has pointed out that during the evolution of the universe a large part of the history of evolutions matter was highly ionized, smoothly coupled with the field and subsequently forming neutral matter during the expansion of the universe. Therefore considering the presence of magnetic field in cloud string universe is not unrealistic and has been investigated by many authors [14][15][16][17]. Magnetized bulk viscous string cosmological models have been investigated by Yadav et al [18].…”
