Abstract:To elucidate the fundamental structure–property
relationship
of inhomogeneous polymer networks with different numbers of trapped
entanglements, we have analyzed the mechanical properties and network
structures of end-cross-linked star elastomers in the cross-linking
procedure by coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations and a graph-based
structural analysis. From graph structural analysis based on the Scanlan–Case
criterion, we identified the “effective chains” after
excluding mechanically redundant networ… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
