Structural Deformation and Metal-Semiconductor Transition in Coupled Carbon Chains

Abstract: The transition between gapped (semiconducting) and gapless (metallic) phases and tunability of bandgap in materials is a very lucrative yet considerably challenging goal for new-age device preparation.
